Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on November 6, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and five other departments issued a notice on the issuance of the Several Measures on Cultivating Diverse Scenarios to Promote Consumption of Elderly-Adapted Products. Among other things, the notice mentions promoting the application of smart elderly-adapted products. Guided by major national science and technology projects, it will accelerate the application of cutting-edge technologies such as embodied intelligence, large language models, brain-computer interfaces, and exoskeletons in the elderly care sector, and develop and upgrade intelligent devices for disability care, rehabilitation nursing, and mental companionship for older adults. It encourages, based on various consumption scenarios, accelerating the implementation and application of health management products such as smart health management and intelligent rehabilitation assessment and treatment, as well as intelligent elderly care service robots for continence care, rehabilitation support, and daily living assistance, so as to provide older adults with intelligent care solutions such as living assistance, safety protection, health monitoring, and emergency rescue.
