Google (GOOGL.US) Adjusts Default AI Settings for K-12 Student Accounts: Search, Gemini and Others Require Proactive Activation by Schools

Zhito Finance APP has learned that Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet (GOOGL.US, GOOG.US), announced on Tuesday that schools wishing K-12 (primary and secondary) students to use Google Search will need to enable the service themselves, and the built-in AI features of Search will be activated accordingly. Meanwhile, Google's Gemini chatbot, Gemini Notebook, and Gemini in Google Classroom will be disabled by default for K-12 student accounts until school administrators proactively enable them.
