Guangdong: Improve the multi-tiered consumer system

The Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on the "Guangdong Province Implementation Plan for Expanding Consumption," which mentions improving the multi-tiered consumption system. Accelerate the cultivation of high-level consumer cities, support Guangzhou in accelerating the construction of an international consumer center city, and support Guangzhou and Shenzhen in actively carrying out pilot construction of internationalized consumer environment cities. Accelerate the integrated development of the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, optimize and upgrade the Guangzhou and Shenzhen metropolitan areas, accelerate the same-city integration of the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary, Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang, and Zhanjiang-Maoming, build the "Golden Inner Bay" at a high level, and promote differentiated layout of consumption functions and coordinated development of industrial chains among cities. Promote the renovation of key pedestrian street commercial districts across the province, and create a batch of consumption cluster areas with distinctive themes and innovative business formats. Deepen the county-level commercial construction action, and support the upgrading and renovation of county commercial centers, township farmers' markets, and village-level convenience stores. Support relying on e-commerce platforms to promote quality brands and goods sinking into county markets, expand online sales channels for county specialty products, and expand rural e-commerce application scenarios such as local customs and folk traditions, intangible cultural heritage skills, and rural cuisine. Step up the implementation of consumption assistance, standardize the management of consumption assistance products, promote assistance products entering the Greater Bay Area market, continue to carry out consumption assistance actions, and strengthen collaboration and linkage between key producing areas and sales areas.
