US Treasury Secretary Bessent and Venezuelan officials discussed energy and financial sectors.

According to a statement issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met with Venezuelan Foreign Minister Oliver Blanco today. During the meeting, Bessent emphasized "the Trump administration's commitment to supporting Venezuela's economic recovery and revitalizing its key sectors, through specific measures including increasing energy production and promoting the reintegration of Venezuela's financial system into the international system."
