Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on November 2, CRIC Real Estate Research released a research report on the national real estate market for October 2026. In October 2026, the newly added supply area of new commodity residential housing in 50 key cities nationwide was about 5.65 million square meters, down 64.1% month-on-month and down 26.8% year-on-year, with the year-on-year decline widening by 23.5 percentage points from the previous month. After the concentrated release during the "Golden September," the supply side fell back rapidly, and the single-month scale dropped again to the mid-to-low range for the year. From January to October, the cumulative supply area was about 83.45 million square meters, down 19.5% year-on-year, with the decline widening by 0.6 percentage points from the first nine months. Overall, October supply shifted from September's "proactive release" to a "high-level pullback," and the pace of obtaining pre-sale permits and launching projects fluctuated again, reflecting that under sales collection and funding constraints, developers' supply elasticity remains limited, and under the dominant logic of "production determined by sales," the full-year supply contraction trend remains unchanged.
