Shenzhen Metro ranks first among mainland cities in passenger transport intensity for 33 consecutive months.

During this year's summer travel season, Shenzhen Metro's average daily passenger volume reached 10.096 million, surpassing the 10 million mark for the first time in history. A total of 626 million passenger trips were carried over the two months, setting a new high for the same period in previous years. As of September 21, single-day passenger volume has exceeded 10 million 86 times and 11 million 18 times so far this year, fully surpassing previous years' levels. In the first three quarters, Shenzhen Metro's total passenger volume reached 2.477 billion, up 5.2% year on year. In August, its passenger volume and station entries ranked first nationwide for the first time, and its passenger intensity has ranked first among mainland cities for 33 consecutive months, while its network density, public transit share, and smart travel index have long led the country.
