China's leading domestic memory chip company ChangXin Technology has completed engineering sample validation for its sixth-generation process technology platform. On October 30, ChangXin Technology revealed during its third-quarter earnings briefing that, building on key breakthroughs in the 4F vertical channel DRAM architecture, the sixth-generation process technology platform has completed engineering sample validation. ChangXin had previously introduced progress on the 4F architecture at an academic forum, and this marks the first time the company has announced that its sixth-generation process technology platform is based on the 4F architecture. According to industry practice, completion of engineering sample validation means the platform's core performance metrics have met design expectations on actual wafers, and it can enter the mass production stage after completing validation with customers.
