Lavrov: Zelensky "wants to meet Putin, come to Moscow"
According to a report by Russia's Lenta.ru on October 30, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov set out the conditions for negotiations between Ukrainian President Zelensky and Russian President Putin. Speaking at a press conference after the first day of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, Lavrov said that if Zelensky wants to meet with Putin, he can only come to Moscow. The minister added: "We will ensure he comes to no harm and guarantee his safety, and as I understand it, the Kiev side is unable to provide such guarantees." Presidential aide Ushakov previously mentioned that the Russian president had proposed to Zelensky "a million times" that he come to Moscow. He said: "Our president has said a million times, or rather a million and a half times: if he really wants to negotiate, then let him come to Moscow, where all necessary conditions will be provided for him."
