Hengqin Port Inspection Channel Renovation and Expansion in Its First Month: Peak-Hour Traffic Efficiency Up About 65%

The reporter learned from the Hengqin Border Inspection Station of the Zhuhai General Station of Border Inspection that as of midnight on October 31, the 52 newly added inspection channels in the passenger inspection hall of the Hengqin Port processed a total of 3.69 million inbound and outbound passengers during their first month of trial operation. During this period, traffic efficiency at the port during peak hours increased by about 65% compared with before the renovation and expansion.
