China Southern Airlines: Net loss of 609 million yuan in Q3 2026

China Southern Airlines announced that in the third quarter of 2026, operating revenue was 52.533 billion yuan, up 2.26% year on year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was a loss of 609 million yuan, and net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was a loss of 880 million yuan. From the beginning of 2026 to the end of the reporting period, operating revenue was 147.212 billion yuan, up 6.93% year on year; net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was a loss of 4.305 billion yuan, and net profit after deducting non-recurring gains and losses was a loss of 5.59 billion yuan. The company said that hit by oil price fluctuations, third-quarter performance fell sharply, and an operating loss was recorded from the beginning of the year to the end of the reporting period.
