Blackstone Group is said to plan to sell an office building in central Tokyo for $1.9 billion.

Blackstone Group plans to sell the office portion of the Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho complex for approximately 300 billion yen, according to people familiar with the matter. The New York-based alternative asset manager is currently in negotiations with potential buyers, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the matter is not public. They also said Blackstone is considering packaging some of the property's beneficial interests into digital securities in order to sell smaller stakes to individual investors.
