Four departments: Support capable private enterprises in leading research and application tasks for independent gas turbines

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that recently, four departments including the National Energy Administration issued the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Innovative Development of Gas Turbines. Among other things, it proposes strengthening the principal role of enterprises in innovation. Research will be conducted to establish a green channel mechanism for state-owned enterprises to procure independently developed gas turbines, and the relevant circumstances of state-owned enterprises' R&D, manufacturing, procurement, and operation of first-of-their-kind independently developed gas turbines will be included in the special matters management list for state-owned enterprise operating performance assessment. Independently developed gas turbine projects led by state-owned enterprises for demonstration application and industrialization promotion may appropriately break through the minimum rate-of-return requirement for project investment decisions.
