Report: Partners' flagship U.S. private equity fund caps redemptions at 5%

Redemption requests for Partners Group's flagship US retail fund more than doubled in the third quarter compared with the second quarter. The Swiss group's US private equity fund-of-funds disclosed on Thursday that redemption requests amounted to $2.2 billion in the third quarter, equivalent to 15% of the fund's net assets. Partners received only $900 million in redemption requests in the second quarter, accounting for about 6% of the fund's assets at the time. The group exercised its right in both the second and third quarters to cap redemptions at 5%.
