Second-hand smartphone trading is booming, with 99%-new phones becoming hot sellers.
In Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen, Guangdong, the second-hand mobile phone trading market is heating up significantly. Statistics from a market research institution show that products with an average price above 4,000 yuan account for more than 68%. Industry insiders told reporters that generally speaking, the prices of most second-hand mobile phones will continue to decline the longer they have been on the market, and a 20% price drop within one year is very common for hot-selling models. However, affected by rising memory prices, second-hand mobile phone prices have generally remained firm this year. Compared with the prices of new phones, second-hand phones in 99% new condition or that have only been unboxed are generally 500 to 1,000 yuan cheaper. Due to strong demand, these phones have currently become sought-after items in the market, and merchants are also actively buying them back.
