Beijing: Improve the quality of energy supply for computing power facilities

The Beijing Municipal People's Government has issued the "Beijing Municipality Plan for a New Energy System during the 15th Five-Year Plan Period." It states that coordination between energy resources and computing power layout will be promoted, the quality of energy supply for computing power facilities will be improved, and newly built computing power centers will use 100% green electricity. Energy-saving and carbon-reduction upgrades of infrastructure such as computing power facilities, communication base stations, and equipment rooms will be advanced, the power usage effectiveness of existing data centers will reach 1.35 or below, and energy efficiency and carbon efficiency per unit of computing power will reach internationally advanced levels.
