SK Hynix CFO: The company's valuation is undervalued, therefore using buybacks to enhance per-share value.
At SK Hynix's earnings conference on Wednesday, Chief Financial Officer Kim Woo-hyun announced plans to return approximately 100 trillion won to shareholders this year, including at least 30 trillion won in cash dividends and at least 60 trillion won in share buybacks and cancellations. Kim stated: "We believe the current share price does not fully reflect the company's earnings and cash flow levels, and that the valuation is undervalued. In this environment, buying back and canceling shares is a highly effective means of enhancing per-share value."
