Brazil's Ministry of Justice orders an investigation into foreign interference in elections.
A ruling dated October 27 shows that Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Flvio Dino has ordered the federal police to open an investigation into whether there is foreign financial support and external interference in the country's elections. The investigation will examine whether there are foreign funds, services, or other transfers of benefits related to campaign activities. Police are also investigating paid election propaganda content published by foreign accounts, as well as possible deliberate algorithmic manipulation by internet companies. Because members of Congress may be involved, the investigation is supervised by the Supreme Court.
