On October 25 local time, the Fdration Internationale de l'Automobile announced that, affected by recent regional developments, the Dakar Rally originally scheduled to be held in Saudi Arabia from January 1 to 15, 2027 will be moved to another country or region, with the new venue to be announced in the coming days. The FIA said the decision was made jointly by event organizer Amaury Sport Organisation and the Saudi Motorsport Company, and was supported by the FIA and other relevant bodies. This adjustment is a one-off special arrangement, and the 2027 event will still take place as planned.
