On October 24, Musk, CEO of the US space exploration technology company, posted that the Ukrainian military had violated the terms of service of "Starlink" by using it to launch offensive drone strikes that caused casualties, and that the relevant loophole was closed last week. He stressed that the commercial version of "Starlink" must never be allowed and should not be used for offensive drone operations, while "Starshield" is a separate independent system controlled by the US government. Ukrainian President Zelensky said via social media on the 24th that the military version of the "Starlink" satellite communication system used by the Ukrainian military has fully resumed operation, with service levels restored to those before the restrictions imposed more than a week ago.
