Wang Huning accompanies DPRK top leader Kim Jong Un on a visit to Dandong.

Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, accompanied Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, on a visit to Dandong on the 24th, and conveyed the cordial greetings and best wishes of General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Xi Jinping. During their meeting, Wang Huning said that General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong Un's special visit to Dandong on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' entry into the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea fully demonstrates the great value the Party and government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea place on the friendship between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea forged with blood, and is of great significance in both carrying forward the traditional friendship between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and consolidating the popular support for friendship, as well as deepening political mutual trust and jointly seeking cooperative development. In September last year and June this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping and General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong Un achieved historic mutual visits and reached a series of important common understandings, leading the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea into a new historical period. China is willing to work with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to unswervingly implement the important common understandings of the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, take the common cause of socialism as a bond, and promote the further sublimation and development of China-Democratic People's Republic of Korea relations. Taking the opening of the new China-Democratic People's Republic of Korea Yalu River Bridge as an opportunity, the two sides should expand personnel exchanges and economic and trade cooperation to better benefit the two peoples. The two sides should strengthen strategic communication and coordination to create a peaceful and stable external environment for safeguarding their respective sovereignty, security and development interests. On the afternoon of the same day, Wang Huning accompanied Kim Jong Un on a visit to an automobile factory in Dandong, where they inspected the production workshop and listened to briefings. When Kim Jong Un left Dandong, Wang Huning saw him off at the new China-Democratic People's Republic of Korea Yalu River Bridge. Wang Yi attended the above activities.
