Sam Hou Fai first welcomed Ren Hongbin and his delegation to Macao and thanked the CCPIT for its long-standing strong support for Macao's efforts to promote appropriately diversified economic development. He stated that the SAR Government, grounded in its positioning as "One Centre, One Platform, One Base" and a "highland for top talent," is steadily advancing appropriately diversified economic development. Leveraging its advantages of "backed by the motherland and connected to the world," Macao actively plays its role of "linking the mainland and connecting the world," continuously broadening its trade cooperation networks with Portuguese-speaking countries, Southeast Asia and other regions. In this process, the SAR Government has innovatively adopted the model of "government-enterprise collaboration, Macao-Hengqin synergy, and joining forces to go global," supporting enterprises from the mainland, Macao and Hengqin to accompany the Chief Executive on successive visits to Portugal, Spain and Southeast Asia to jointly explore markets, achieving solid results. Looking ahead, the SAR Government will continue to deepen the development of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, implement the integrated "Macao + Hengqin" strategy, accelerate the high-quality development of trade and industry, and help local and foreign enterprises expand into the mainland market. The SAR Government hopes to leverage the CCPIT's strong economic and trade networks to continuously expand new space for mutually beneficial international economic and trade cooperation. Ren Hongbin stated that the successful practice of "One Country, Two Systems" in Macao has demonstrated remarkable achievements and important experience with Macao characteristics. As China's largest trade and investment promotion agency, the CCPIT plays an important role in connecting domestic and international markets, serving opening-up, participating in consultations on global economic and trade rules, and international commercial mediation and arbitration. The CCPIT is willing to continue supporting Macao in better leveraging its platform advantages and to help Macao achieve high-quality and stable development in social, economic and other fields. He also said that the Council will organize the China Convention and Exhibition Economy International Cooperation Forum next year to help Macao drive appropriately diversified economic development through conventions and exhibitions. Also present at the meeting were Secretary for Economy and Finance Ng Wai Han, Chief of the Office of the Chief Executive Chan Kak, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute Vincent Tse Weng Keong, as well as Deputy Director-General of the CCPIT's Department of Liaison Li Shuai and Chief Representative of the CCPIT Macao Representative Office Shu Huan, among others.
