The Emergency Command Headquarters of the Tibet Autonomous Region has activated a Level II emergency response for earthquake disasters in the autonomous region.

Based on the disaster situation and the relevant provisions of the Tibet Autonomous Region Earthquake Emergency Plan, the Tibet Autonomous Region Emergency Command decided to activate a Level II emergency response for earthquake disasters in the autonomous region as of 23:00 on October 22, 2026. The autonomous region emergency command organized departments at all levels to promptly carry out search and rescue of personnel, treatment of the injured, and relocation and resettlement of affected people, and strengthened monitoring and early warning for secondary disasters. At the same time, it coordinated the allocation of emergency supplies, pre-positioned rescue and relief forces, and made every effort to carry out rescue and disaster relief work.
