Zhitong Finance APP has learned that, according to data from the China Iron and Steel Association, in September 2026, China produced 73.59 million tons of crude steel, up 0.1% year on year, with daily output of 2.453 million tons, up 1.9% month on month; produced 65.34 million tons of pig iron, down 1.4% year on year, with daily output of 2.178 million tons, down 0.2% month on month; and produced 118.17 million tons of steel products, down 3.8% year on year, with daily output of 3.939 million tons, up 6.4% month on month. From January to September, China's cumulative crude steel output was 725 million tons, down 2.9% year on year, with cumulative daily output of 2.6548 million tons; cumulative pig iron output was 628 million tons, down 3.0% year on year, with cumulative daily output of 2.302 million tons; and cumulative steel products output was 1.067 billion tons, down 2.0% year on year, with cumulative daily output of 3.9088 million tons.
