The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology seeks comments on five mandatory national standards for automobiles, involving data security and automated parking.
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on October 20, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued an announcement that the formulation and revision of five mandatory national standards, including the "Automotive Data Security Requirements," have formed draft versions for public comment, and are now open for public comments from all sectors of society. The "Installation Requirements for External Lighting and Light-Signaling Devices of Motor Vehicles and Trailers (Draft for Comment)" proposes that vehicles without L3-level or higher autonomous driving systems are prohibited from installing autonomous driving system marker lamps; at the same time, a dedicated blue-green light color requirement for ADS marker lamps has been added. ADS marker lamps are lamps that indicate to other road users that the vehicle's autonomous driving system is in an active state. According to the draft for comment, when L3-level or higher autonomous driving functions are activated, all ADS marker lamps should automatically illuminate simultaneously and remain illuminated while the autonomous driving system is active. When the vehicle's driving automation system is at L2 level or below autonomous driving functions, illumination is prohibited. When the autonomous driving system exits, all ADS marker lamps should automatically turn off simultaneously.
