He expressed gratitude to Shanghai for its strong support for various aspects of civil aviation undertakings. Since the beginning of this year, the passenger and cargo throughput of Shanghai airports has continued to grow, and the gateway function of the aviation hub has been continuously enhanced. The CAAC actively supports the construction of Shanghai's "Five Centers," has issued a list of key work tasks, refined and implemented relevant support measures, actively promoted the construction of projects such as the Phase IV expansion of Pudong Airport, and continued to advance work such as optimizing the airspace structure of the Yangtze River Delta and improving the route network of Shanghai Aviation Hub. Next, the CAAC will, in accordance with the "15th Five-Year Plan for Civil Aviation Development," continue to carry out all work as always, support Shanghai in optimizing passenger and cargo flight slots and airspace structure, enhance international transfer functions, and promote Shanghai's high-quality construction of an international aviation hub. Zhu Zhongming said that high-quality construction of Shanghai International Aviation Hub is an important guarantee for enhancing the level of Shanghai International Shipping Center and accelerating the construction of the "Five Centers," an important measure for promoting the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and implementing the regional coordinated development strategy, and an important support for enhancing the international competitiveness of civil aviation and serving the construction of a transportation powerhouse. Shanghai will anchor on the strategic goal of comprehensively building a world-influential all-round gateway composite international aviation hub, focus on consolidating hardware support, enhance the level of the international aviation hub, promote digital, intelligent, and green transformation, firmly uphold the bottom line of aviation safety, and promote new progress and new steps in the construction of Shanghai International Aviation Hub. It is hoped that bureau-municipality cooperation will be further strengthened to jointly promote the implementation of major reforms, major projects, and major policies, and make greater contributions to writing a new chapter of civil aviation in the construction of a transportation powerhouse.
