NVIDIA (NVDA.US) "leverages" European supercomputer to achieve record-breaking fault-tolerant simulation! Physical qubits reduced by 90%

Zhitong Finance APP has learned that researchers at Nvidia (NVDA.US) have run what they call a record-breaking fault-tolerant quantum simulation on Europe's largest supercomputer, Jupiter. It is understood that the simulation ran on Nvidia's GH200 GPUs. This 104-qubit simulation used 90% fewer physical qubits than previous attempts. Nvidia said this achievement could ultimately advance research in fields such as drug discovery, financial modeling, and materials science.
