Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Announces 6 Typical Cases of Illegal Acts Involving Seeds

In recent years, agriculture and rural affairs departments at all levels have conscientiously implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping and the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on the seed industry revitalization action, strictly enforced seed industry supervision and law enforcement, stepped up coordination with public security organs and other departments, strengthened the linkage between administrative enforcement and criminal justice, and severely cracked down on illegal acts in the seed industry such as counterfeiting and inferior products and infringement through the use of others' registered variety names. A number of seed-related illegal cases have been investigated and handled, effectively safeguarding the lawful rights and interests of farmers and seed enterprises. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has decided to publish six typical cases to warn and promote governance through cases, create a strong deterrent, and foster a favorable environment for the revitalization of the seed industry.
