Shanghai Superconductor's 3-kilometer single-length tape production line is planned to produce products in 2027.

On the morning of the 18th, the main structures of Shanghai Superconductor's second-generation high-temperature superconducting tape and headquarters base project were fully topped out. The phase III base topped out today is planned with an annual capacity of 15,000 kilometers. Once completed and reaching full production, Shanghai Superconductor's total capacity will climb to 20,000 kilometers per year, ranking first globally in the second-generation high-temperature superconducting tape segment.
