Houthi armed group claims to have shot down a Saudi helicopter

On the evening of October 17 local time, Yemen's Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree issued a statement saying that the Houthis shot down a Saudi "Apache" helicopter near the Najran region of Saudi Arabia. The statement said the helicopter was attempting to "carry out hostile actions" against Houthi positions in the border area. There has been no response from the Saudi side.
