Blue Origin aims to achieve multiple New Glenn launches per week by 2030, spending billions of dollars to challenge SpaceX.
Blue Origin plans to increase the launch frequency of its New Glenn heavy-lift rocket to multiple times per week by 2030, setting ambitious capacity and operational targets as it seeks to challenge SpaceX's dominance in the global launch market. The plan requires a substantial expansion of manufacturing capacity, launch infrastructure, and operational reliability. Blue Origin has already invested more than $3 billion in its production and rocket integration facilities in Florida, and plans to invest an additional $330 million in expansion to support a higher-capacity version of the New Glenn rocket. Ian Richardson, Senior Vice President of Operations at Blue Origin, outlined the expansion plan in a company blog post on Friday, saying the infrastructure project is critical to increasing launch frequency and operational efficiency.
