Shanghai Performing Arts Group Established to Build a Nationally Leading Performing Arts "Aircraft Carrier"

On the afternoon of October 17, the inauguration ceremony of the Shanghai Performing Arts Group and the release of the "Shanghai Drama Revitalization Three-Year Action Plan" were held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre. The event also launched the "Collection of Classic Repertoire of Shanghai Municipal State-Owned Literary and Art Troupes," marking a new chapter in the reform and development of Shanghai's performing arts industry. Shanghai is currently accelerating its development into a socialist modern international metropolis with global influence. Establishing the Shanghai Performing Arts Group, introducing a special drama revitalization plan, and systematically taking stock of the troupes' classic repertoire are three tasks planned and advanced in an integrated and coordinated manner. This is a key move for Shanghai to build a nationally leading performing arts "aircraft carrier" and cultivate the core competitiveness of an "Asian capital of performing arts."
