Trump says Ukrainian military's "Starshield" malfunction has nothing to do with the US
On October 16 local time, when answering reporters' questions, U.S. President Trump said that he had never ordered restrictions on Ukraine's use of "Starshield." He said he was "not sure who did it," and did not think it was done by SpaceX CEO Musk. Ukrainian President Zelensky had previously accused the U.S. side of restricting the Ukrainian military's access to "Starshield" services. "Starshield" was developed by the U.S. company SpaceX specifically for government and national security customers, and is regarded as a militarized version of SpaceX's "Starlink" satellite communications system. The Ukrainian military is highly dependent on the "Starshield" system on the Russia-Ukraine battlefield.
