The cost-effectiveness of the A-share market has further improved, and listed companies are actively carrying out share buybacks.
This week, the Shanghai Composite Index, Shenzhen Component Index, ChiNext Index, and STAR Composite Index fell by 2.56%, 6.64%, 8.90%, and 8.26%, respectively, while the food and beverage and banking sectors rose against the trend. As the market continues to fluctuate and adjust, A-share valuations have reached relatively low levels, highlighting their cost-effectiveness. Analysts believe that A-share valuations already offer good value for money, with limited downside potential. In the medium term, valuation adjustments and earnings recovery are still expected to provide support for the market. Meanwhile, listed companies are also actively conducting share buybacks. Wind data shows that as of October 15, a total of 231 listed companies had implemented buybacks since October, with a combined buyback volume of 723 million shares and a total buyback amount of 14.359 billion yuan, showing significant growth both month-on-month and year-on-year.
