Tanker tracking agency TankerTrackers released data on Friday: despite persistent attacks on commercial shipping and high risks in the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi Arabia's crude oil exports still climbed sharply during the first 15 full calendar days of October, averaging 8.165 million barrels per day. Data published by the maritime intelligence firm showed that this figure was significantly higher than the September daily average of 5.62 million barrels and the August daily average of 3.697 million barrels. Another set of shipping data also showed a strong recovery in Saudi crude oil shipments. Data from Kpler showed that after the East-West Pipeline was damaged in an attack, Saudi Arabia shifted crude oil exports away from the Red Sea port of Yanbu, helping Persian Gulf crude oil exports rebound in September.
