US retail investors' dip-buying enthusiasm plunges. JPMorgan: Last week's net buying was far below average; Nvidia (NVDA.US) still saw nearly $1 billion in inflows.
Zhito Finance APP has learned that on Thursday, JPMorgan pointed out in its latest "Retail Investor Observer" report that, as U.S. inflation data came in above expectations and tech stocks continued to adjust, the risk appetite of U.S. retail investors weakened noticeably. In the week from October 8 to 14, retail net buying was only $3.4 billion, far below the average of $6.7 billion per week over the past 12 months. However, although retail buying was generally weaker, some AI and semiconductor leaders were still sought after, among which Nvidia (NVDA.US) received about $942 million in net buying in a single week.
