The 140th Canton Fair opened today in Guangzhou. In recent days, the Baiyun Airport port has seen a peak in inbound passenger flow. According to statistics from the Baiyun Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station under the Guangzhou General Station of Exit and Entry Border Inspection, during the Canton Fair, the Baiyun Airport port is expected to handle more than 1.2 million inbound and outbound passenger trips, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%, and more than 6,500 inbound and outbound vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 17.6%. At present, the port has opened dedicated border inspection channels for the Canton Fair and added multilingual intelligent terminals and volunteer service personnel to facilitate smooth customs clearance for businesspeople coming to China.
