Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chief Executive Officer David Solomon dismissed recent speculation about a leadership change at the top as "noise." The bank's Chief Operating Officer, John Waldron, has long been seen as a potential successor to Solomon. The timing of a handover drew fresh attention in recent weeks after reports that Solomon could step down as early as next year. "So, you know, I just want to be clear, there is no succession transition or timeline at Goldman Sachs right now," Solomon said Tuesday on an earnings call with analysts. "The board and I are completely focused on our strategy for the firm and continuing to deliver excellent service to our clients."
