Polysilicon leader holds closed-door meeting in Hangzhou on "floor price"? GCL: Confirmed, no losses as long as price is no less than 43,000 yuan/ton.
Late at night on October 12, the self-media outlet "Taiwa Energy" reported that on October 11, leading domestic photovoltaic companies such as Tongwei and GCL held a closed-door meeting in Hangzhou, setting price floors for polysilicon and module segments, and emphasizing that prices for export products as well as social procurement and bidding processes would also not fall below the aforementioned price floors. According to the meeting, the average cost of silicon material, including tax, must not be lower than 43,000 yuan/ton, and any price below this level would be considered low-price dumping; on the module side, BC modules must not be priced below 0.86 yuan/W, and TOPCon modules must not be priced below 0.79 yuan/W. On the morning of October 13, a relevant person in charge at GCL Technology confirmed the holding of the closed-door meeting, while a person in charge at GCL Group said regarding the specific prices of silicon material and modules, "As long as the price is not below this level, there will definitely be no loss; otherwise, everyone would not have set this threshold."
