Mifeng Technology proposes the 4D data reconstruction framework MEgoVista.

Recently, Mifeng Technology, together with Northwestern Polytechnical University and Xi'an Jiaotong University, proposed an egocentric motion reconstruction framework "MEgoVista," which can more accurately convert egocentric videos into 4D data required for pretraining embodied models. The related paper has been published. Currently, although ego videos bring data collection into real-life and work scenarios, "filming an operation" does not equal "obtaining 4D data." The system needs to accurately identify the wearer's hands, restore finger bending postures, and measure the distance the hands move in space, and still faces multiple challenges such as the difficulty of balancing scene coverage and reconstruction accuracy, distance estimation bias from a single camera, and tracking interruptions caused by occlusion during multi-person interaction.
