Pig farming enterprises have successively released their sales data for the first three quarters.
As of October 11, listed companies with hog farming operations have successively released their sales data for the first three quarters. The information revealed by the data shows that, affected by the relatively low sales prices throughout the year, the relevant listed companies are still facing considerable operating pressure. Wang Hongyan, a hog industry analyst at Shanghai Steel Union, said in an interview that in the first half of this year, hog prices were relatively stable, and most farming enterprises maintained profits or thin profits. As hog prices fluctuated downward in the second half of the year, the industry as a whole moved close to the break-even line. Enterprises with better cost control were still able to hold on, while those with relatively high costs have already incurred losses.
