The Shanghai International Shipping Institute released the China Shipping Prosperity Report for the third quarter of 2026. The report shows that in the third quarter of 2026, China's shipping prosperity index was 122.26 points, down 3.97 points from the previous quarter, remaining in the relatively prosperous range; China's shipping confidence index was 158.27 points, up 9.62 points from the previous quarter, rising to the strong prosperity range, and the operating conditions of shipping enterprises continued to improve. Looking ahead, Zhou Dequan, director of the compilation office of the China Shipping Prosperity Index, told a Securities Times reporter that China's shipping prosperity index for the fourth quarter of 2026 is expected to be 119.5 points, down 2.76 points from the third quarter, falling to the relatively prosperous range; the overall development trend of the shipping market in the fourth quarter is expected to remain stable.
