Guangdong accelerates the reconstruction and expansion of the Guangzhou-Shaoguan Expressway, which will ease traffic pressure on the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway in the future.

Reporter learned from Guangdong Communications Group on October 10 that the Guangzhou-Shaoguan Expressway, an important connecting component of the road network in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is currently stepping up its reconstruction and expansion work. In the future, after the fully reconstructed and expanded Guangzhou-Shaoguan Expressway opens to traffic, it will effectively ease the traffic pressure on the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, greatly improve traffic conditions in Guangzhou, Shaoguan, Qingyuan and their surrounding areas, and further enhance infrastructure connectivity between northern Guangdong and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
