More than 95% of Apple's manufacturing in China now uses renewable energy.
On October 9, Apple announced on its official website that the total committed investment for its second China Clean Energy Fund has increased to $212 million. To date, the fund has completed its initial investments, supporting the development of a 260-megawatt wind power project in Guangxi and a 50-megawatt wind power project in Shandong, both of which have now begun construction. Apple announced that more than 95% of its direct manufacturing in China now uses renewable energy. By the end of 2030, Apple plans to achieve 100% renewable energy adoption across its entire global supply chain.
