UK 2/10-year government bond yields rose more than 7 basis points this week.

Late Friday in the European session, the UK 10-year gilt yield fell 3.8 basis points to 5.442%, accumulating a weekly gain of 7.6 basis points, rising continuously after a slight drop to 5.347% on October 6 and reaching 5.521% on October 8. The 2-year gilt yield fell 2.4 basis points to 4.890%, accumulating a weekly gain of 7.9 basis points. This week, the 30-year gilt yield accumulated a gain of 5.6 basis points to 5.947%, having reached 6.045% on October 8; the 50-year gilt yield accumulated a gain of 5.0 basis points to 5.359%, having risen to 5.448% on October 8. The 2/10-year gilt yield spread accumulated a gain of 0.313 basis points to +55.079 basis points.
