On the first trading day of October, A-shares adjusted, with capital sentiment showing caution.
On October 8, the A-share market adjusted with increased volume on the first trading day of October, with major indices generally declining. The ChiNext Index fell more than 3%, and the STAR Composite Index dropped over 4%. Sectors such as shipping, oil and gas extraction, and power batteries were active against the trend. More than 3,700 stocks in the entire A-share market declined, while nearly 1,700 stocks rose. The market turnover was 1.69 trillion yuan, higher than the previous trading day. On the capital front, the margin financing balance in the A-share market decreased by more than 95 billion yuan in September, and on October 8, the net outflow of main funds from the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets exceeded 26 billion yuan, indicating cautious capital sentiment. Analysts believe that the disturbance from expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike in October has weakened, and there is no need to worry about the risk of a major market decline; market performance is expected to improve compared with September, likely presenting a window for structural repair, and a balanced allocation is recommended in terms of style.
