Investors withdrew $2.4 billion from four of Guggenheim Partners' mutual funds in September after reports that U.S. regulators are investigating the business dealings of the firm's CEO, Mark Walter. Morningstar estimates showed that $1.8 billion of that flowed out of the Guggenheim Total Return Bond Fund, the firm's largest publicly traded mutual fund. The outflow was equivalent to 6.1% of the fund's managed assets, reducing its asset size to less than $29 billion. Morningstar data showed that investors redeemed $222.4 million from the Guggenheim Macro Opportunities Fund, $317 million flowed out of the Guggenheim Limited Duration Fund, and $64.9 million flowed out of the Guggenheim Core Bond Fund.
