Keeta announces it will launch operations in 21 new cities in Brazil.
On October 8, reporters learned that Meituan's food delivery brand Keeta announced it will expand to 21 new cities in Brazil, extending its operations from So Paulo state into the interior. Together with the 11 cities where it already operates, Keeta's coverage in Brazil will reach 32 cities. This is Keeta's latest progress in expanding its business in Brazil after a So Paulo state court recently ruled that 99Food's targeted exclusivity clauses were illegal. Currently, Keeta's app downloads in Brazil have reached 10 million. Meituan announced last year that it plans to invest $1 billion in the local market over five years. A Keeta representative said that entering more cities this time reflects the company's long-term confidence in the Brazilian market. In the next phase, Keeta will continue to expand restaurant supply and invest resources in technology, delivery, and local operations.
