Due to heavy rainfall, Tunchang and Qionghai in Hainan have issued class suspension notices: all primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Qionghai will be closed for half a day on the afternoon of October 8; all schools in Tunchang County will be closed for one day on October 8. The Qionghai Municipal Committee for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation, Rescue, and Safety launched a Level IV emergency response for flood and wind prevention at 17:20 on October 7.
