"Group of Friends of Global Governance" calls on all parties to abide by international rule of law

China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Sun Lei delivered a joint statement on behalf of the Group of Friends of Global Governance on Monday under the agenda item "The rule of law at the national and international levels" at the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly, calling on all parties to uphold the authority of the UN Charter and abide by international rule of law. The joint statement noted that the current international situation is marked by turbulence and instability, with regional conflicts erupting one after another, unilateralism and power politics running rampant, global rivalry intensifying and escalating, the international rule of law suffering severe shocks, and humanity's peace and security facing grave challenges.
