The U.S. Director of National Intelligence, Jay Clayton, who was recently appointed to head the Trump administration's so-called "superintelligence task force," began his new role by traveling to Silicon Valley to hold talks with a group of top AI industry executives. Clayton plans to meet with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Anthropic's Dario Amodei, and Meta Platforms' Mark Zuckerberg. This is Clayton's first meeting with tech industry leaders since taking charge of the new agency responsible for coordinating federal government affairs related to artificial intelligence.
